5th Annual #25 Tournament
EVENT INFORMATION
Directions
Newton Indoor Sports Center is located at 125 Wells Avenue in Newton, Massachusetts.
From the North or South: Take I-95 to Exit 19B. Take a left that the next two consecutive lights and a right at the 3rd on to Wells Ave.
From East or West: Take Mass Pike (I-90) to I-95 South and follow directions above.
Restrooms
Men’s & Women’s restrooms are located near the entrance of the building. NISC does not have showers.
Team Jerseys
Teams are not required to have the exact same jerseys but all must be a single matching color with numbers on the back.
Parking
There is ample free parking in front of the NISC entrance
Conduct & Sportsmanship
We are happy to have all our participants and guests enjoy the event. Please respect others and refrain from cursing and other such unacceptable behavior. This is a goodwill tournament for charity. Constant violators will be asked to leave the premises.
Photography
Our photographer will be in many areas during the tournament. Please respect their jobs and allow them space to work.
Merchandise
2009 #25 Tournament T-shirts are available for purchase in sizes YL, M, L, XL and XXL in the function room just past the office. Shirts are $10 each, #25 Hockey hats will also be available for $5. Supplies are limited.
Food and Drinks
Free drinks provided by our sponsor will be available throughout the tournament. Pizza will be set aside and available to all players in the main office after 2pm on Saturday.
Statistics
Game statistics will be recorded throughout the tournament. Players must check-in at the scorer’s table and give their name and number.
Team Rosters and Check-In
All players must check-in prior to their first game of the tournament. All players must sign their roster at this time. All teams must have complete rosters will signatures acknowledging hold harmless release. Check-in will be at the main office located in the center of the building. Any final payments must be made at this time as well.
Warm-ups and Game-times
Teams will be allowed on the court immediately following the conclusion of the previous game. All games start on time and warm-up time is dependent upon that.
Changing Rooms
NISC has multiple areas for changing. Directions to such areas will be visible throughout the facility. Individual locker rooms are not provided and the tournament nor NISC are responsible for any loss items.
Turf Field Restrictions
The field is open for picnics and activities but no open containers with food or drink may be brought on it. All picnics must use a blanket to protect the field. No skates or high heel shoes allowed on the field.
Awards
The championship team will be honored with an engraved plaque with each players name on the tournament trophy, Carlo’s Cup. They will also receive a team trophy to take home as will the 2nd place finishers.
Victory Party
At the conclusion of the championship game we will celebrate the tournament and champions with free food & beverages. Prizes for games and raffle will be handed out at this time. |
